Computer motherboard model introduction

  At present, the mainstream motherboard in the market to the first-line manufacturers Asus, Gigabyte, Microstar-based, second-line manufacturers have Elite, Onda, Biostar and so on. Each manufacturer uses the Intel, AMD, nVIDIA chipset to produce and develop the motherboard, and each manufacturer names the motherboard in its own way. The following is law Introduction of part of the manufacturers of motherboard model.

1.ASUS Motherboard

The ASUS motherboard features the word ASUS on the surface, and the model uses a combination of letters and numbers, using the motherboard of the Intel chipset, starting with P (Figure 1（a）), and using the motherboard of the AMD chipset, which starts with M (Figure 1（b）).

2.GIGABYTE Motherboard

The gigabyte motherboard bears the word GIGABYTE on the surface, starting with the gigabyte acronym GA, plus the chipset model and version (Figure 2).

3.MSI Motherboard

The MSI and 1996 characters are often printed on the surface of the microstar motherboard, which consists of chipset names and serial differential codes (figure 3（a）), while the internal models are composed of MS and numbers (figure 3（b）).

4.Biostar

Biostar motherboard features the word Biostar on the surface, and the motherboard model (figure 4) is named after the chipset model.

5.Other manufacturers motherboards

    Other manufacturers of motherboards are basically chipset names to name motherboard models, as shown in figure 5-8.
